What our clients say about Juniper
“Just wanted to say what a great night we had at the party - the band was really fantastic. Everyone is talking about how good you were. I would like to book you again.”
Lorna, Kelty
“Juniper were fantastic, they had a great range of songs and had everyone up on their feet. I would definitely come see them again. ”
Samuel, Glasgow
Juniper are an insanely talented bunch. They were the band for our wedding in November, and they blew everyone away with their performance. They kicked off with a ceilidh and got everyone (including the grannys) on their feet joining in. We had a mix of beginners and ceilidh veterans, but the choice of dances and excellent calling meant that everyone was able to take part and enjoy the ceilidh. Their covers set afterwards was simply superb - the choice of songs was faultless and kept everyone partying until the wee hours. We have had so many compliments about the quality of the band. They were so nice, and even signed our guest book at the end of the night! If you want a modern, enthusiastic band who are accomplished at both ceilidhs and covers then look no further!

Hi Juniper Just wanted to drop you all a HUGE thank you for doing both the ceremony and evening for our wedding. Can’t believe it’s already been a week passed. Both were amazing, the most perfect first dance & she’s a belter too. Appreciate how much you learnt for us and being flexible was so great. Jordan your voice is ridiculous, we loved listening to you and dancing the night away. Together you make an awesome group and would recommend you to all! Thanks again Christine & Tom

This is very late but I just want to say a huge thank you. We have not stopped having compliments about how brilliant you were and everyone was up dancing which is always a great sign! We have had other couples who are getting married that were attending the wedding ask for your details since. Thank you again, it really made the wedding!

Good morning, Just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Juniper, who played our wedding on Saturday the 16th. They played a beautiful cover of our first dance and kept the guests on the dance floor all night. I had so many people asking me where we hired our band! Thank you again for being a part of our big day and making it so special!

Frequently Asked Questions
How much time do you need for set up & sound check?
We need 1 hour to set up and sound check to ensure that we’re sounding our very best!
What are your standard performance times?
We normally play over a 4 hour period, usually 8pm - 12am but occasionally 7pm - 11pm.
I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?
We can be flexible - just let us know when you are able to!
Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?
Whilst we maintain discretion over the setlist and tailor it based it on audience reaction, please let us know your favourites from our song list on the Music For Scotland website and we’ll do our best to include them on the night!
Will you learn our first dance?
Yes! As long as you let us know at least 8 weeks before your event, we can learn your first dance and a couple of other requests too.
Will the band provide background music during your break?
Yes, we use our own playlist for breaks, but if you’d like to create your own, all we’d need is a Spotify link!
My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?
We can play music through our PA system to keep the party going!
Which artists are you most influenced by?
Fleetwood Mac, Nile Rodgers, Shania Twain, Dua Lipa, Blondie and Haim are some of our biggest influences as a band.
Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more information about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?
We play up to 1 hour of ceilidh with fiddle and have a caller on hand to guide you through the dances. We can spread the dances throughout the night or play some instrumental music to allow your guests time to catch their breath (the Dashing White Sergeant can be more tiring than it looks!) We tend to stick with the most popular dances, and end with an Orcadian Strip the Willow - customary at a Scottish wedding!
What do you think your clients love most about your performances?
Clients tend to love the wide range of styles we cover throughout our set. This ranges from traditional ceilidh all the way to modern pop. With the band consisting of multi-instrumentalists, we are very versatile and jump happily between genres.
Do you offer any other add-on options?
Our lead guitarist, Hannah, can offer acoustic guitar for your ceremony and or drinks reception - get in touch for details!
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, we use our own PA system and bring a small setup of uplighters and light beams.
Do you have PAT Cert & PLI Insurance?
Yes - available on request.
